Come on out to hear me read on Sunday, June 11th for the Schuylkill Valley Journal. The new issue of the journal contains a portfolio of my poems from Caligulan and my next book, Last One Out, as well as a long interview conducted by Mark Danowsky, a professional detective and fellow poet.
I am enormously grateful for the amount of space given over in the issue to my work and the interview. I look forward to meeting the rest of the staff and reading for the launch of the issue. Hope to see you there!

Manayunk Roxborough Art Center at 419 Green Lane (rear) in Philadelphia presents “Schuylkill Valley Journal #44: Poetry, Essay and Fiction Readings From Spring 2017 Issue” on Sunday, June 11: 2:45 to 5:30 PM. Ernest Hilbert is the featured poet. Refreshments will be provided. $5 Donation requested. Phone: 215-482-3363.
The poetry readers, who will read their poems included in the SVJ #44, include the following poets: James Freeman, Lorraine Henrie-Lins, David Kozinski, Joanne Leva, Joyce Meyers, Steve Nolan, Camille Norvaisas, Connie Wrzesniewski, and a special reader: Matilda Bray (5th grader). Of course the featured poet, Ernest Hilbert, will highlight his work.
Non-fiction writers will read parts of their articles: Mike Cohen from “Our Lady of the Stone Age” and Joseph Tyson from “Mussolini’s Sex Life.”
At this event the co-poetry editors, Bill Wunder and Bernadette McBride, will be available to introduce the readers and respond to any questions about the SVJ.
