Ernest Hilbert reads with Bernadette McBride for National Poetry Month
Saturday, April 27th, 2PM
Whitman Stafford Farmhouse, 315 Maple Avenue, Laurel Springs, NJ 08021
Sponsored by the Stratford Public Library
The reading takes place in the 1785 Whitman Stafford House, which served as the summer retreat of Walt Whitman, who wrote his classic Specimen Days there (and enlivened the days of the locals by taking “mud baths in the open, while naked.” You can read more about Whitman’s stay in the New York Times. We hope you can join us in our celebration of National Poetry Month.
