Celebrated essayist, critically-acclaimed poet, and genius podcaster Daniel Nester writes about Ernest Hilbert’s 2013 spoken-word album Elegies & Laments (Pub Can Records) over at the Best American Poetry blog today in “Poetry on Vinyl: Ernest Hilbert’s Elegies & Laments.”
Nester has long been hailed as a national authority on vinyl records, poetry, and popular music, so it’s quite a remarkable thing to have him write of Elegies & Laments, “the music and poetry work together magically well, miraculously well. It’s a legitimate collaboration.” Check out the article at BAP and head over to Hilbert’s author page to hear what all the fuss is about.
