Well, yes, like Chinese Democracy (the album, that is), Legendary Misbehavior continues apace, though that pace may seem glacial to outsiders. Last night, New York satirist and modern-day Beau Brummel Quincy R. Lehr came down from NYC and ludic, carnivalesque jam-poet Paul Siegell from 2nd Street Philadelphia, to Widget Studios, home of Pub Can Records, to record two of Ernest Hilbert’s poems (“Singles Scene” by Quincy and “Reality TV” by Paul) for the “Satires and Observations” portion of the album Legendary Misbehavior, an album featuring Hilbert’s poetry backed by a full band and, in the album’s final section, a full string orchestra and harp. Scheduled for the fall of 2012, the album will be released as a digital download as well as 100 signed-limited vinyl LPs (bundled with download code) designed by Jennifer Mercer and signed by all participants on the album. Here are some photos of last night’s sessions, which went incredibly well, despite a furious fit of the giggles for Paul Siegell that resulted in the studio being cleared for fifteen minutes. Stay tuned for more information about the album and release.
