My two weeks as poet-in-residence at West Chester University included talks and class visits in the music, book history, literature, and writing programs, an hour long interview, a talk at the library’s special collections, and two readings, an opening one in special collections and a closing reading, below, in Main Hall Auditorium. My opening reading was entirely from my latest collection, Storm Swimmer. For the closing event, I chose two poems from each of my five books, Sixty Sonnets, All of You on the Good Earth, Caligulan, Last One Out, and Storm Swimmer (two selections I hadn’t read on the earlier occasion).
